Place a grocery order by selecting a donation amount, browsing products by category, adding items to your cart, and checking out.
Ordering follows a simple flow:
Your point total appears in the top-right corner of the page at all times. Click on it to preview your cart.
After logging in, the homepage shows Step 1: Select a donation choice below. Choose a donation amount from the dropdown. Each option shows the dollar amount and the points you receive (for example, "$20 for 20 points").
You may also see an optional Filter by product type dropdown. Use this to narrow the product list to a specific type if your food bank has tags configured.
Once you select a donation choice, the page displays your products and a summary such as "You have selected to donate $20. This allows an allocation of 20 points."
Some food banks use a currency-based system instead of points. If yours does, you skip this step and go straight to browsing.
Products appear in collapsible category sections. Each product card shows:
To add a product, pick your quantity and press Add to cart. The point total in the header updates instantly.
Some food banks allow you to click on a product image or name to open a detail page. The detail page shows a description and, for products with multiple variants (such as different sizes), a variant selector. This feature is not always enabled — if clicking a product does not open a detail page, your food bank uses a simplified catalogue where you add items directly from the listing.
Quantity limits. When a product has a maximum quantity, the dropdown only goes up to that number. If you try to exceed it, you will see a message: "Limit reached." Category-wide limits also apply -- if the category maximum has been reached, you will see "Category max has been reached." A category's maximum counts items across its sub-categories as well, so adding to a sub-category (such as "Chicken") can reach the limit set on its parent category (such as "Meat").
Out of stock. If a product is out of stock, it will generally not appear in the product listing at all.
Click the cart icon (top right) or the View and edit cart button at the bottom of the product listing to open the cart page.
The cart page shows:
Point limit warning. If your cart total exceeds your donation's point allowance, the summary shows how many points you are over in red text and the checkout button is disabled. Reduce items or change your donation choice on the homepage to fix this.
Clearing the cart. You can remove all items at once using the clear cart option, which empties your cart entirely.
A bundle is a pre-made package of items sold as a single product. When you add a bundle to your cart, its contents appear beneath the bundle row.
In the cart, you can customise a bundle:
You must keep at least one item in a bundle. The last remaining item cannot be removed.
Some food banks offer a walk-in option for people without an account. If walk-in access is available, the homepage shows a Request a package button. Press it to place a single walk-in order. Walk-in orders are limited to one per day.
If the food bank is currently closed for orders (outside operating hours or a scheduled closure), you will see a message that orders cannot be placed. Try again when ordering reopens.
Go back to the homepage by clicking Choose Items in the navigation. Select a new donation amount from the dropdown. Your cart items are kept, but your point allowance changes. Adjust your cart if needed.
Look at the cart icon in the top-right corner. It shows your current point total. Click it to see a quick summary of your cart.
Open your cart and press the X button on the row you want to remove.
On the cart page, change the number in the quantity field for any item. The cart saves automatically after a short pause.
On the cart page, press the Checkout button. This takes you to the checkout flow where you select a pickup time and confirm your order.
Why can I not add more of a product? The product has a maximum quantity limit. Check the message displayed -- it will tell you the limit has been reached. Some categories also have an overall cap on items.
Why is the Checkout button greyed out? Your cart total exceeds your point allowance. Remove items or go back to the homepage and choose a higher donation tier.
Can I change my donation choice after adding items? Yes. Return to the homepage and pick a different donation amount. Your cart items stay, but your point balance updates. You may need to remove items if the new allowance is lower.
What does "Your cart is locked" mean? You have reached your order limit for the current period, or you already have an order with a future pickup date. The message will tell you when your next order is allowed. Contact your food bank if you need help.
Can I order without an account? Only if your food bank has walk-in access enabled. Walk-in orders are limited to one per day and do not require logging in.
What is a product bundle? A bundle is a pre-selected group of items sold together. You can customise it in the cart by removing optional items or adjusting quantities where allowed.
Why has a product disappeared from the listing? Products that are out of stock are generally removed from the listing until they are restocked. Check back later or choose an alternative product from the same category.
